![]() ![]() You do not have to participate in any of the programs to use the facility. The Senior Center is open from 9 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday. The new addition features a computer room, a library, a game room, a new outdoor deck, and a sitting room with a TV and VCR. The senior center expanded in the fall of 2003. Various other activities are offered to members, including weekly shopping trips to local stores, visits to historical sites, luncheon show trips, Atlantic City trips, and overnight excursions. Meetings are held the third Wednesday of every month and feature interesting guest speakers or entertainment, as well as free blood pressure screenings and updates on upcoming programming. The senior center is located at 116 Jackson Mills Road. ![]() No commercial vehicles are permitted to drop-off at the Recycling Center.This active center has over 1,000 Freehold Township residents as members. No vehicles larger than a pickup truck will be permitted into the Recycling Center. Permitted drop-offs are limited to 6 per year. The following identification is acceptable: Driver's License, Tax or Utility bill. Residents need to show proof of residency to bring their items to the Recycling Center. Sectors D, E, and F - Week of October 9th.Sectors A, B, and C - Week of September 25th.Once a street has been completed, the Department of Public Works will not return to that street. Items to be picked up must be placed neatly at the curb by 6 am of the scheduled pickup day. ![]() If you live in a Condominium, Townhouse, or Apartment, please check with your association to see if they are participating. The following items are excluded from pickup: items weighing over 200 pounds, leaves, rocks and stones, stumps, logs, brush, slate, concrete, motor vehicles or their components (batteries, tires, wheels, etc.), building materials, construction trash, metal pipe and barrels, recyclables or hazardous materials, appliances containing freon (refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners), electronics (such as televisions, stereos, computers, etc.) Bulk collection is limited to 8 cubic yards and no larger than 8 feet in length and 8 inches in diameter. Week of April 24th Sector F - Week of May 1st Residents will be permitted to bring their brush items to our Recycling facility. Items collected are household items, including sofas, chairs, tables, carpeting, dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, ovens, barbecue grills and toys. Sector A - Week of March 27th Sector B - Week of April 3rd. There is a one-time bulk collection in the Fall. ![]()
